I must be getting old, because looking for the proper. We wrote about it a lot on this forum at the time. There were a lot of problems getting the plug-ins to work properly until Topaz sorted out the installation procedures. I now remember going through moving the.8bf files when Topaz first changed the directory to \Topaz Labs LLC\ with the then new AI apps. But since you reinstalled, it was taken care of automatically. I also had to fix Lightroom too, and it is possible to manually fix it which I did. I did the same thing as you did and I got the same crash message after I tied to have Photoshop use Adjust AI. It is also possible to just copy the file into that directory from:Ĭ:\Program Files\Topaz Labs LLC\Topaz Adjust AI\PS_Plugins_圆4\tltopazadjustaips_圆4.8bf Now when Photoshop tried to use Adjust AI, the file wasn't there and it had the problem.Īnd when you reinstalled, it put the file back. When v1.05 was uninstalled, the file was deleted. Both v1.05 and v1.06 were happy and would work. When v1.06 was installed, it was overwritten with the same file. When v1.05 was installed, this file was placed into that location. The location and file is:Ĭ:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2021\Plug-ins\tltopazadjustaips_圆4.8bf Photoshop needs a plugin file to work with Adjust AI. Just explaining why Photoshop was crashing. Next step will be when I reboot my pc tomorrow, since invoking the plug-in on the second day of the original install started to crash PSCC. And the plug-in now works again in PSCC, just like it did for the first day after the first install. It prodded me to just uninstall 1.0.6 and then reinstall it again. So far, no problems using with Affinity Photo, Win 10. The email I got stated twice that v1.05 had to be uninstalled prior to installing v1.06. Interesting that the link isn't available at the usual place in Topaz Release Forum. found the link, different eMail (I have two different Topaz accounts). I am a registered user and Beta tested it, was aware of the release coming but some how can't find it. I'll check my account, perhaps the link is there. Note that the Changelog page has been updated with the new production version.ĮDIT: Maybe they are only sending the initial notice of the release to those with paid annual update subscriptions. If you are a registered user of Topaz Adjust AI, you should have received or will receive the same e-mail. What I did note is that the new installation did automatically replace the Photoshop Plug-in for 1.0.5 with the plug-in for 1.0.6, although any other links I had to 1.0.5 were not replaced, just accompanied by a new 1.0.6 link. Because of the new engine, I do not believe you can update from version 1.0.5. I received an e-mail from Topaz that day with the download link. This is the actual production release that came out on June 23rd. Are you talking about the Beta version 1.0.6b? I have neither seen the production release anywhere in their web site nor through the app check for update function.
